Traveling the world with her scientist father, Melissa developed a taste for adventure that has fostered a life in pursuit of exploration, discovery and communication. A natural inclination to photograph the beautiful environments and wildlife she encountered led her to the creative force and educational impact of producing and directing award winning documentary films to further science and conservation.
Shooting in remote locations such as the Venezuelan Amazon, Karoo desert and Hawaiian Islands, Melissa has brought collaborative efforts of discovery to the world via broadcast on The History Channel, Discovery Channel and The National Film Board of Canada.
A communications and marketing consultant to nature conservancy groups, Melissa is currently working on a new form of educational exploration for audiences across North America. Melissa holds an MA in Communications and dual citizenship in the United States and Canada.
